Abstract: | This article reports and comments on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 2012 and includes remarkable findings from previous years. The classification and nomenclature follow the new Danish checklist (Karsholt & Stadel Nielsen, 2013). Three species are reported as new to the Danish fauna: 1) Bryotropha basaltinella (Zeller, 1839) (Gelechiidae): one specimen was caught in a light trap near Copenhagen; 2) Aethes triangulana (Treitschke, 1835) and 3) Pelochrista mollitana (Zeller, 1847) (Tortricidae): one specimen of each were caught in light traps in Born holm. We more over transfer Caloptilia azaleella (Brants, 1913) (Gracillariidae) from the observation list to the main list of Danish Lepidoptera. The total number of Danish Gracillariidae is now 88, Gelechiidae 178 and of Tortricidae 389. This results in a total of 1587 species of Microlepidoptera found in Den mark. The total amount of Macrolepidoptera recorded from Denmark is now 969, bringing the number of Danish Lepidoptera to a total of 2556 species. With the new Danish check list the so-called observation list has been extended to include both species of uncertain faunistic status in Denmark and species of uncertain taxonomic status. There are 13 species of Lepidoptera on the former and 11 species on the latter. |
