Acalyptris psammophricta Meyrick, 1921: 410 (Original designation and monotypy)
Etymology:
Acalyptris: from Greek Kalyptra, veil, hood, cover, referring to the eye caps (scape) in Nepticulidae. Acalyptris meaning that the eye-cap is absent, which in fact is not correct.
