Etymology:
The species name is derived from Latin niveus (snowy, of snow, snow-white) in reference to the irregularly scattered grey-white scales on forewing apex (like melting snowflakes on grey background). It should be also mentioned, that this amazing new species occurs close to the Andean snowline.
